A Week of Inspiration, Day 7: Connections

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
— John Muir

Kid Tip: Let’s look for nature wherever we go- on a car ride, looking out the window,  even looking at books or magazines in a waiting room. Help me to point out and name the things I see.

Brain Connection: Nature simultaneously calms and focuses the mind, allowing the brain to detect patterns that it might otherwise miss. The natural world helps us perceive connections and fine-tune knowledge. When we take note of the nature around us, and take time to give names to the objects in the natural world, we are setting a foundation for our children's understanding of the physical world.
